Amar'e Stoudemire is using his time away from the game of basketball to explore his passion to become a fashion designer. So much so that the Knicks power forward is teamming up with one of the world's premier designers and fashion expert, Rachel Roy.
Amar'e is known for his keen fashion sense and and has been known to attend some of the most high profiled fashion shows in NYC. He’s now making his first stint in designing by collaborating with Roy for her affordable line exclusively sold at Macy’s. Roy, in charge of the designs, has Stoudemire in the creative director role, picking and choosing which designs should be included in the fall line. The new line will blend Roy’s sophisticated feminine aesthetic with a sporty vibe.
In addition to the much anticipated launch, Roy and Stoudemire will also have an exclusive video ad campaign to premiere on Fashion’s Night Out and will be playing in all New York City taxi-cabs.
Ranging from $45 to $250, this special collection will launch this month and can be purchased at select Macy’s stores, macys.com and NBA.com.
