Welcome to ARHE (pronounced A-I-R), a sports-entertainment network covering more than 35 sports. Here, you can track your favorite athletes, coaches — even cheerleaders — getting information ranging from contracts, endorsements and business ventures. Unlike any other site, ARHE takes you into the lives of athletes, on and off the field, and allows you to browse through historical leagues such as the ABA, AFL and the Negro Leagues. You will be pleasantly overwhelmed with never-before-seen highlight footage, pictures — even those classic commercials that made you a fan in the first place. Seven years in the making, ARHE's goal is to house the largest collection of sports information in the world and use it to develop opportunities for athletes, companies, and fans alike. Welcome to ARHE, sports fans. It's all for you.
Who is this site for?
ARHENETWORK.com was created for a multitude of users — including sports fans (casual and die-hard), sports professionals, businesses and companies, and professional athletes.
How did the idea for this site come about?
ARHE was conceived by Jason Woullard, a rabid sports fan who wanted to learn more about the history of sports and the surrounding elements that make them so appealing. Upon researching numerous sources, the amount of information found was scattered, which prompted Jason to create his own database. What started as hobby soon became a passion, and opened Jason's eyes to a wealth of knowledge that continues to grow every day.
Why is the site called ARHE?
The site is inspired by the late great Arthur Ashe whose book series entitled 'A Hard Road to Glory' served as the motivation to create a historical database about the history of African Americans in sports. Although this was the initial concept, the ultimate goal is to create a network for all sports fans from all walks of life. It serves as a continuation of Ashe's legacy, as well as other great athletes of his time. The word "ARHE" is derived from the first two letters of Ashe's first name (AR) and the last two letters of his last name (HE). Putting these letters together, ARHE was born. With each athlete in this database being the "heir" apparent to another, it was envisioned that this site would be the "heir" to Arthur Ashe. While we are not directly affiliated with Arthur Ashe, he is, without question, the inspiration for it all.
Do we own the rights to the content posted on this site?
Some of the content is original (that is, ARHE got it straight from the athletes themselves) while other forms have been retrieved through a multitude of resources (the Internet, books, etc.). Credits are listed for each post along with copyright and owner information. If you believe ARHE or any user of this site has infringed your copyright in any material way, please notify us at
How is ARHE different from other sports sites?
Sites like www.espn.com and www.si.com focus primarily on providing news and analysis. ARHE is the only website of its kind that provides a structure to search current, historical, and even future star athletes. ARHE will also provide information on coaches, front office personnel, style and fashion, marketing, and entertainment.
You say ARHE is for professional athletes as well. How so?
With the large volume of athlete-endorsed items, companies will look to introduce new products and purchase available advertising space. Professional athletes can make their profiles truly their own — by adding to it with content of their choosing. Such a unique compilation of data can only be found on ARHE.
Explain the research component to ARHE?
The data collected will be used for an assortment of research efforts. For producing news articles or even building your argument for a case study, the ARHE database will provide the information sought at the click of a mouse. There are also options available for hiring the company to put together packages for your research requests.
What's ARHE long-term goal?
By introducing new concepts and developing new ways to retrieve information sought, ARHE will become the ultimate web destination for sports fans and to those looking for information sports related. For more information on the ARHE Network, please contact us at .
